NEPAL

On August 28th, a tragic even happened in Kethmandy, Nepal. A 7.8 magnitude earth quake was centered and a huge thunderstorm roared over the area directly after. Water was rushing down the roads as the pouring rain came down with the thunder and lighting. Since the storm was so bad, they couldn’t send helicopters in the sky to look for people resulting from the earth quake.

The earth quake was so maj
or that its death toll is currently and 5,216 people and more than 10,000 people were injured as a result of the earth quake. Officials say that the death toll is expected to rise and they will be making makeshift field hospitals. In neighboring countries such as India and China, the two countries combined have reported 98 deaths resulting from the earth quake.

The worst part about all the rain directly after the earth quake is that it is increasing the risk of landslides and mules across rugged terrain already destabilized by the earth quake.

Since there have been landslides and cracks in the earth, right now it is impossible for people to get to their families or across the break line.
